Royal Mail is putting its prices up again. It has been confirmed that first and second class stamps will rise by 2p to 41p and 32p respectively from April 2010. Regulator Postcomm approved the price rise earlier this year saying it is necessary to make up for the fall in the volume of items being handled by Royal Mail. Shoppers bought less in November than expected. According to the Office for National Statistics, retail sales fell by 0.3%. It is the first month on month fall since May.
