As a child, the first record my parents bought for me was Puff The Magic Dragon in 1964. I listened to it over and over and then had friends come over and listened to it more. I was always sad because I understood that the Dragon died, but I did not fully understand what the Dragon represented. I understand a lot more these days, but now Mary has passed on and I find myself sad once again. Good Bye Mary, yours is a beautiful spirit and you will be missed here.
Huey UH 1
Dedicated to the Bell UH-1 "Huey" of the Vietnam War. Years ago I saw "More American Graffiti" where they depicted a Huey flying down a river and the background music was Pipeline by the Chantays. It seemed a great combination to me, almost like the song was written for that scene. I remember when the Huey was a common & daily site, one almost taken for granted.
