We trek back up the Viridian Forest, which also has AWESOME MUSIC. (I listened to it for about 2 hours last night by leaving the DS open...) Then to Pewter Gym, which has two easy Jr. Trainers and Brock, whose team is crippled with 4× weaknesses...and thus goes down pretty quick.

HOLY CRAP VIRIDIAN CITY HAS AWESOME MUSIC. I am so buying the CD; the music is that awesome and I want the pretty CD! Anyway, Cal is definitely upgraded from 2nd Gen. Stuff is played Battle Tower style, with no items allowed and stuff gets leveled down to 50. Apparently you can get new Trainers in there by utilizing pokéwalker-to-pokéwalker communications. Dunno if this wille enable you to do Smeargle trickeration like it did in 2nd Gen, but Double Battles are better for that anyway. We trek ...

We repair power to the Kanto region (apparently Pokémon Centers and stuff were on generator power?) which allows the Lavender Town Radio Tower to come back online. Thus, we now can get radio signals in Kanto! The pokéflute Channel is sort of hidden, so pay attention! Snorlax gets out of our way after we Master Ball him out of anger, and we wind up in West Kanto at last.

We get lucky on the warp panels and face down Sabrina, who has the WORST costume of ANY Gym Leader EVER. She looks like a generic Psychic....no, she looks WORSE than a generic Psychic. Yeesh. Terrible, terrible outfit...the dominatrix suit with a whip looked much better; so did her firered/leafgreen outfit. After getting the Marsh Badge, we struggle to find the Machine Part, which is masked from Itemfinder detection! Hopefully this helps some people.
