One of my favourite horse/rider combos in the world. This is Bridget, one of my good friends, and her horse Sangre. This was his first time doing such a difficult course! Romeo was put to sleep today after a cut to his pasturn (again) sliced an artery and went clean into his fetlock joint. The vet said there was two things they would do. 1. Spend $10000 on a surgery that wasn't guartenteed to work, and even if it did he would never be ridden, or able to run, and would always be lame and in pain. 2. Lethal Injection. We chose number 2. So I've been dwelling back on Bay State a lot, and it's really making me irritated. I can't help thinking "I should've done that differently." or "what would've happened if I had been braver?" or the biggest regret. "WHY DIDN'T I TAKE ROMEO!?"
