CSX Train Q426-15 (15th, Dec. 2009)

Spending my Birthday trackside wasn't all that rewarding. The only train I caught was the Q426-15 with the usual power.

CSX Geometry Train

Having missed this train going Eastbound the prior day, I purposely sought this train out on it's Westbound run. The CSX Geometry Train is seen here, passing the Intermodal Transportation Center from a public sidewalk near the building. Are the *FLASHING RED LIGHTS* on the last car something fairly new?

Catch Of The Year

Sorry about the shakiness of this video. I took it quickly, and didn't have a tripod with me nor the time to run two blocks to my house to get one. Normally, a CSX Train with a symbol like "X093-10" wouldn't get much attention from me as they're usually only "Lite Engine Moves". However, this one truly was a "Catch Of The Year" (for me anyway) as it had A CSX C40-8 Standard Cab (CSXT 7509) in the original "Stealth" Paint scheme, more commonly called "Yellow Nose 1 -or- YN1" on CSX Train X093 ...

HRRC NX12-09 (November)

Here we see the Housatonic Railroad NX12 (CSX Z542) as it's passing under North Street and exiting "The Tunnel" in Pittsfield Massachusetts. This is the first time I took a video from this angle, and just maybe the last, as it's hard to access and harder to get the camera under the fence to get this video.

Hear this train (K638-09 November) was coming, via the scanner over my morning coffee, so that became the priority of the day. Here is the K638-09 as it passes the Intermodal Transportation Center in Downtown Pittsfield. The power for today was CSXT8761, CSXT9043, & CSXT5122.
