As the flume fills and the water reaches the far end, waves are reflected back up the flume, and then in turn back down. Two runs. A shorter one and a longer one.

Wireless controlled submersible
Student project to build a wireless remote controlled submersible. They only had a few weeks to do it in, and a very limited budget. They were also mechanical engineering students, so with very little knowledge of electrics. (Though some might argue they have bugger knowledge of anything engineering, but that's another matter!) Spring 2009.

Powered Gliders being tested (1)
Student project task to build an ultra-light 'powered glider' and see how long it would fly for. (Spring 2009) Had to be designed to gently fly in circles. Some were down to a weight (excluding elastic band & propeller) of about 2 grams.
