Hundreds of people packed Pittsburgh's Market Square to watch competitive eating at its finest. Dunkin' Doughnuts sponsored a doughnut hole eating contest with dozens of hungry eaters vying for the championship. The winner was Pittsburgh's "Lord of the Wings" Bob Kuhns who housed 29 Munchkins.

On August 4th, 2009, a gunman walked into LA Fitness in Collier Township, Pennsylvania not far from Pittsburgh and opened fire on a Latin dance class. At 8:15pm, the shooter entered the class, placed a duffel bag on the ground, turned off the lights, took out at least two handguns and began firing, police said.
