Michael Bloomberg won the elections for a third term as a mayor but he did not win the minority vote. His democratic rival Bill Thompson beat Bloomberg in predominantly black and Hispanic neighborhoods by as much as 3 to 1 margin in some districts. Some Latinos were not happy about the final outcome and expressed their opinion about why Bloomberg got re-elected in spite of peoples anger over term limits.
