We competed at both the Buckeye and the Pittsburgh Regionals during the 2009 season with our robot Kermit. We won the Delphi "Driving Tomorrow's Technology" Award at Buckeye and the General Motors Industrial Design Award at Pittsburgh and reached the semifinals at Pittsburgh. It was wet and cold, but we were determined to have Jinks, our fully autonomous robot that tracked an infared beacon, run in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. It worked so well, that by about the middle of the one mile, we were getting strangely giddy. Jinks was built for FIRST pre-season and general community service. We used a crio and programmed in labview. Builders/programmers: Emily, Lynn, Caroline, Caitlin, and (someone not on the FIRST team) Ayush. ...Go 2399!

This was our rookie year and our first regional ever. We had an amazing time. 42 out of 46! (I know that sounds really lame but it's actually good for a rookie team.) Thanks to all the other teams that helped us out like team 1990, team 2228, team 2603, team 2010, team 2172, and team 184.
