Wrote the song after the 1992 Los Angeles riots which I had to commute between Rosemead through the 10 freeway to get to home to Marina Del Rey. I did have problems in the city but, I did get help one night from some helpful guys when my car failed. I run regularly through the Blue Line (train) between Long Beach and downtown LA, at 5am. I haven't ever had a problem. There are potential dangers, but most people are just nice folks. I learn a lot from other people's lives by commuting by bus ...

Used to call marriage "the highest halls of happiness". It can bring happiness or bring you to the depth of hell. Can't say "never"...possibly to find someone, where you can plumb the depths, with great love and joy.... needs lots of forgiveness.
