Some suggestions from myself to stop the rot in the battery bay area of Mk3 & 4 Ford Escorts. A battery cover protects the battery but water still flows into the area underneath. A plastic tray will collect water there but may overflow, or spill when driven (hence the material in the plastic container. Affectionate Thunderbirds homage made by me and my kids in 2004.
