These are pictures I took the day of the muster. The muster was held at Clark Memorial Field, Old Saybrook, Ct. on July 10th.
Chippewas & Bethpage Colonials playing Band 5

In 1971 I did a short medley for a group of us St. Benedict's members playing as the Bronx Mercenaries. Later, in 1974 the Chippewas picked it up as a medley for parades. The Chipps disbanded in late 1975 and I joined Bethpage. I revised Band 5 in order to have a quick competition piece for the 1976 contest season. So, here you have two versions of the same medley

St. Benedict's Fife & Drum Corps. 75th Anniversary Party

Back in June 2007, the corps celebrated its founding back in 1932. There was a party in Father Albert Hall with about 300 in attendance. Most era's of the corps were represented to some extent; going back as far as its roots in modern fife, drum and bugle. The majority of those in attendance were members from the late fifties through the seventies.

St. Anselm's Fife, Drum & Bugle Corps - 1955 Vid#2

This recording is of St. Anselm's Drum Corps from the Bronx, NY. The tape recording was made in the school gym sometime in 1955. This recording is of the fife line playing "Old Comrades" and an unidentified piece by the bugle line. The pictures are from the Company of Fifers & Drummers archives. Mostly they are photos from the late 1930's through 1941. The location or scene in many of the photos is Tinton Avenue in the South East Bronx. The drum corps existed from 1912 to about 1963....

St. Benedict's - North Haven Ct. Contest Feb. 1971

This is a section from the tape of the competition at North Haven Schools on Sunday February 14th, 1971. This was the second time a group of us from St. Benedict's went to one of these Individual-Duet-Quartet [IDQ] contests up in Connecticut. There were two quartets 1) Robert Carteris, John Uffelman, Tom Burns, George Carteris and 2) Angela Corma, Patricia Lavia, Marianne Rettzo, Denise Pavlik. Bethpage Colonials DRAM 1994

Bethpage at the 1994 Deep River Muster. On stand piece is "Baker Street" and march off is to "79ths Farewell to Gibraltar. Fifers are Joe, Sue, George, Thor and Danny. Drummers are Bob and Cormac.
