Trying something different with uke allowed to throw any sort of punch/combo he likes and attempt to resist the technique. Video is grainy due to it being taken with a KILF iphone of Dixon's which ran out of battery at the end too! :-/ Reuben in the hakama, Fabian with the MMA gloves.

23 September 2009 Light CMD Sparring at Studio 23 Part 2

Going nuts in the 2nd round as I wanted to burn off the excess energy I had (last round of the night). Much sloppier but more to have fun rather than anything else :P Really looks monkey like! Have to work on maintaining footwork which sometimes went directly backward.

23 September 2009 Light CMD Sparring at Studio 23

For my own record and not to be used as an indication of proper CMD. We're all new-ish students here :D. Sparring with some new students (less than a month). First guy in red shirt (Chien) was slightly more advanced than the 2nd partner who had just attended a few classes and coming to grips with CM hence his overly passive sparring. Rules for these ' light sparring' matches were shots only to the head. No body shots allowed. Main purpose is acclimatize student to the hunchback stance ...
