This was one of three morning runs. Temperature was quite low, maybe 40-45 degrees at the time of this run. This was also the first run of the day where I decided to try 2nd gear when exiting the first half of the course. 2nd gear ended up being correct, later giving me personal FTD. Only problem was that I first needed to figure out how much speed I could carry in through the transition from the first half of the course to the second. This was my best official time from the day's 6 attempts. In the morning run, I had one run that was far and away quicker, but I clipped a cone only to watch it teeter and fall just as I crossed the finish. The indexed time on that run was higher as a result - and so it is... Personal FTD.

So this is what happens when you invite us to stay with you for the weekend. We fix your problems. Well, sort of. No squirrels were hurt during the making of this film. But two brothers pretty much had side stitches from trying to laugh silently at the complex plans of the male human to avert the disaster of a nesting rodent.

One of the few times at the Ocean City Cruisin 2009 when we were standing still in an opportune spot to get a good shot of a loud car. This Camaro was really making noise, just idling past us. It would have been great to see 'em get on it a little, even just in neutral to hear what it sounded like. No such luck.

Finally got the feel for the course by the afternoon run- even though the course itself was simplistic. Best time for the day, no cones... all in first gear. Shifting to second (all morning) just did not make sense. I'd shift on the second of the two *short* straights... which would drop me right out of the power band but then I would be right onto the brakes. Rookie mistake, but I fixed that in the afternoon and just rode the rev-limiter on the straights. The course was also slightly drier ...

This is the first run that I ever filmed. The course was pretty boring, just two huge traction tests with no real chance for speed (2nd Gear) ... even though I tried it on a few runs.
