DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 21 (Dis, Ending)

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 21 (Dis, Ending)

You know this fight's going to be epic, you just know it. The final level of any game has always been a colossal battle between the for-... Oh what the fuck? I've already won!! BITTER DISAPPOINTMENT. No twist ending. No D_BUNNY music. Nothing. Just a bunch of names over a darkened Title Screen, followed by the Title Screen. ...then again, it could be worse; IT COULD BE THE 32X VERSION. Well that's that. No go back to doing whatever you were doing before you started watching this. Played on a ...

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 20 (Gate To Limbo)

Also known as just 'Limbo'. This map confuses many a player. I can see why; who in their right mind would want to go exploring so many wide sectors filled with damagefloors? Well anyway, when all's said and done, it's simply another map that looks harder than it actually is. Oh, and BFG9000. Again. Hurrah. Played on a real SNES (Model No. SNSP-001A)[UKV].

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 19 (Mt. Erebus, Warrens)

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 19 (Mt. Erebus, Warrens)

I've never liked Mt. Erebus. So I attempt to go straight to the secret exit, but fall off the platform and miss several times before making it. As for Warrens... Well I wasn't speeding, but the first half is obviously very easy once you have most of the weapons available. The return journey though? Yeah, that's easy too. Far easier than the PC version. Especially what with having that oh-so-shiny BFG9000 from earlier. Played on a real SNES (Model No. SNSP-001A)[UKV].

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 18 (House Of Pain)

More seemingly needless running around, but this map is at least of big-back-then size. This is another one of my favourites. And why are so many people crap at the 8-switches area? It's not fucking rocket science! If the door isn't open, HIT ANOTHER SWITCH. Oh, and still no sign of that BFG9000. Played on a real SNES (Model No. SNSP-001A)[UKV].

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 17 (Pandemonium)

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 17 (Pandemonium)

Nothing to do with that bizarre old pseudo-3D platform game involving anorexic girls and clown blokes, but instead another short map that seems to have taken me several lifespans to get past. Probably something to do with wanting to leave the level with high health/armour stats. So much for that fucking plan! COMPENSATION IN THE FORM OF A BIG GUN. Played on a real SNES (Model No. SNSP-001A)[UKV].

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 16 (Slough Of Despair)

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 16 (Slough Of Despair)

Could have done this one much faster if I was actually concentrating on doing so, but for some reason I was more intent on creeping around slowly and making every shot count. Even made a point of using that goddamn pistol as to save shells. Can't think of a reason why; shotgun ammo wasn't exactly scarce. Played on a real SNES (Model No. SNSP-001A)[UKV].

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 15 (Hell Keep)

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 15 (Hell Keep)

For the second and final time of this game, the HEROIC SPACE MARINE is thrown head-first into a new episode with only the craptastic pistol and a pathetic 50 bullets to shoot things with. When the going gets tough, the tough get pasted by a barrage of fireballs. The thinking marine decides to circle around the joint for a few minutes, letting the monsters kill each other and thus saving himself any real work. DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 14 (Tower Of Babel)

This chunk of Martian-moon space-rock is mine, Cyberdemon. GTFO. Keep your eyes open for a real WTF moment; Lost Souls now seem to be damagingly explosive on death?! Played on a real SNES (Model No. SNSP-001A)[UKV].

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 13 (Halls Of The Damned)

DOOM (SNES): Ultra Violence Playthrough - Part 13 (Halls Of The Damned)

I've always liked this map. I find it to be very underrated. Considerably easier than the PC and PSX counterparts, but potentially trickier due to the port's various quirks. Still, fun all the way. Played on a real SNES (Model No. SNSP-001A)[UKV].

Away with this woeful map and that bizarrely close finish. Won't catch me falling down dead. Not now. Played on a real SNES (Model No. SNSP-001A)[UKV].
