so I hope that can answer your question.... basically, this product works just as it is called. it can remove the "shine" on your skin. because wearing your makeup all day, skin would definiitely become oily. Smashbox Compact Anti-shine can cealr away that "oily look" and remove the "old makeup" on your face. in the same time, your sponge can press back the makeup that haven't worn out throughout the day. (yep, I know it sounds too wonderful to believe.) but remember, because this formula removes your old makeup, it is quite necessary for you to "make it up". otherwise... you know the consequence. anyway, I'm telling you, this is really an amazing thing.
