After X216 cleared on the main L173 approached from the west and proceeded down the east leg of the Hyattsville wye. Again you can hear the 2 track detectors down the branch as the leaders pass. This long intermodal is lead by a pair of downgraded gevo's es40dc's #5472 and #5402. This train having priority of the waiting Q401 waiting at the JD signal heads down the Alexandria branch first.

CSX X216-05 heads eastbound between the signals at JD across the mouth of the wye in Hyattsville. Just out of sight on track 2 sits Q401 waiting for Q173 to head down the branch from the east. It was a busy 20 minutes there. The X216 is an extra section which might be good news for the auto industry. Anyway leading is CSX ES44AH #841 with an ES40DC (can't read the number) trailing. As soon as this train cleared I moved to the apex of the wye to catch Q173 and lost the shot I had been setting up for Q401 on the west leg. More trains are always better I guess.
