It was shot after the actual Winter Solstice (the shortest day of the year in Earth's Northern Hemisphere on December 21). this was the oak king on my altar i painted him the day before the Winter Solstice, just in time to battle the Holly King for dominance over the year:) and yes i know this isnt historical but you know just cause it isnt old doesnt make it any less real. All myths begin somewhere as long as you know where your good to go. It doesnt have to be ancient to be good.

The Midnight Winter Solstice Conversation Series took place on December 21, 2009 at midnight. It was organized by the ELandF Gallery in Lexington, Kentucky and took place at the Denny's restaurant on Nicholasville Rd.
