In ReBirth, these safe zones do not exist, as there is constant pressure on the player due to the unpredictability. A good example is near the end of stage 3 where you ride on top of the mechanical llamas and you have to focus on not missing a jump, not getting hit by the truck, taking out the aerial gunner and being able to stay low enough to shoot mounted soldiers that rush in randomly.
