This is a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation of a NACA 63-021 airfoil section with sinusoidal leading-edge tubercles. This new airfoil design was inspired by the shape of a humpback whale's fin. This design is patented by the WhalePower company. This CFD was performed for an introductory level CFD course at the University of Houston.
