Around 2am on Dec 1st 2009, firefighters were called to battle a suspicious fire in the Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha community centre @ 7271 Gilley Ave. The fire started outside in the loading dock and spread to the roof and inside the kitchen area. The fire also destroyed a Sikh temple parade float that was parked out back.
