The Circle Tower is the third place I recommend visiting after leaving Lothering (the first would be the Wonders of Thedas shop in Denerim, to pick up the Archivist's Sash; and the second would be the village of Honnleath, to recruit the mighty Shale), for the fact that it has several good items for any class - and also this quest, which allows the Hero to gain permanent bonuses to all attributes - a few levels' worth, in fact - if done properly.
