A 16mm film using the optical printer to create traveling mattes which were combined and re-combined through many generations. The idea of the film was to take images from the world around me and to transform them through an ever evolving optical process. The film's title is an ironic reference to the filmmaker's analog processes facing extinction in the burgeoning digital age. The music was generously provided by Toronto based sax quartet Forty Fingers. The film had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2001.
