On November 6th 2009 Abe Maneri and Ben Jaffe played a concert in remembrance of Joe Maneri. The song Mountains was a tune that Joe wrote for the Paniot's 9 session in 1962 which was bought by John Zorn in 1999. He then released it in Japan, so it is now an expensive import. He never promoted a tour in Japan, nor did he ever release it in the US. He erased the 20 minute sustained applause at the end of the track he called "Jewish Concert." I'll never understand why.
