On Sunday January 10th, 2010, the UFT released a report on charter schools and outlined a series of proposed changes to the state's charter school law. If adopted, these recommendations will ensure equal access to charters by all students, increase transparency in charter school finances and operations, and remove the ability of for-profit operators to use charters as profit centers.
