Lewis Buchanan, 10 years old, the youngest ever Shark Diver at the Blue Planet Aquarium, Ellesmere Port. Lewis dived with hundreds of fish and more than 10 different species of sharks and rays in the 3.8 million litre Caribbean Reef display, on Friday 13th November 2009. It was a surprise birthday present. He passed his Open Water with the ITDA (International Technical Diving Association) aged 9, and has so far completed 46 dives totalling 29 hours. This is video from my dive in the Ocean Voyager tank at the Georgia Aquarium. The tank has more than six million gallons of water and is home to thousands of fish, including stingrays, sand sharks, hammerhead sharks, manta rays, and four whale sharks (the largest fish on the planet). This dive was truly one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life!
