In my opinion (and also of the opinion of many historians); Leadbelly was one of the most crucial bridges between slave/work music and what eventually became rock and roll. In my little tribute I used the original audio of "Pick a Bale of Cotton" (an old slave field song once sung by Leadbelly's slave parents) and I did not alter it.
