PA NS 5608 Videos

NS Research train working the Pittsburg Line at MP 116, Track 2. I caught him out of the corner of my eye while driving back to the signal tower at MP 116. He had went West, maybe on track 1 - then backed up to the East on Track 2. He may have switched at CP Cannon.

June 8, 2009, an NS OCS train heads east through Tyrone, PA on track 1 at 3:31pm. This is the 2nd time I saw an NS OCS train in Tyrone, the other time being 2 weeks ago just 2 days before Railfest 2009. I don't know where he was headed. Leading this 2 car OCS train was NS EMD GP38-2 #5608 (rebuilt from EMD GP38AC 4127) Enjoy!!!

After seeing the excursion pass & 2 more frieghts we packed up and headed to the hotel for the night. Next morning finds me on the 17th street bridge overlooking Alto Tower. After seeing a helper set pass by we see a NS local led by GP38-2s 5609 & 5608 head down the cove secondary track to interchange with the everitt railroad in Holidaysburg while the E8s pull the excursion out of town for its 1st run of the day.
