Eureka, Nunavut is the second most northerly permanently populated place on earth. At 80 degrees north it is further north than the magnetic north pole. Although this video is shot in the evening, for four months each year it is this dark 24 hrs a day. The wind in this clip in this clip is far stronger than that which a balloon would normally be launched in, but we we bored because the plane that was coming to take us out had been delayed.
