EARTH STATION RADIO WAS THE FIRST LOCAL ORIGINATION CABLE RADIO STATION IN THE WORLD. APPROVED MUSIC. FIRST DAY WAS MAY 10, 1978. IT WAS INNOVATIVE, WE WERE AN ECLECTIC RADIO STATION THAT DID LIVE READING OF THE SPONSORS, MUCH LIKE NPR TODAY, AND WE HAD AIR MARSHALS WHO WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN SHOWS AND NOT REGULATED BY ADVERTISERS. THEREFORE A LOT OF GREAT MUSIC AND A MAJOR RESOUNDING BOARD FOR CRESTED BUTTE, COLORADO.

NPR reports childhood diseases on the rise
Reported on NPR in the first week of November, 2009. Childhood diseases are on the rise mostly in educated, upper-class neighborhoods. The theory that mercury in vaccinations causes autism has led some parents to avoid vaccinations, saving the child from possible autism and dooming them to die of fever or be crippled by polio.
