When Chimchar beat Ursaring, it evolves into Monferno and learns Mach Punch. It battles Electabuzz. Monferno seems to have the upperhand. However, Monferno gets defeated by Electabuzz and Ash loses the battle. Ash picks up Monferno and thanks it for doing a good job. Paul leaves and everyone watches as he leaves.
