Wall Following Robot
Robot build for the ME 461 lab class at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It makes use of the MSP 430 microcontroller from Texas Instrument as well as two IR sensors mounted on top of the robot. Controlwise, it uses a PID controller whose gains were properly tuned in order to achieve the desired outcome. The robot is controlled by means of an RC remote, and it goes into (and out of) autonomous "wall following" mode right after a special combinations of buttons is pressed. ...
