A Fridley resident was sentenced yesterday afternoon for a robbery committed in August 2008. Shawn Lee Jackson, age 20, was sentenced to 10 years of probation and 18 months in prison if he violates probation. He has already spent 235 days in jail, and that would reduce his potential future prison time to just less than one year. Fischl spoke for an hour about his life experience in Hungary and later in the United States.
