I wrote this song about the human tendency to grudge and fester in self pity and hatred simply to avoid the sorrow of lost love. I wrote the song in first person because I am just as guilty of this as any. Isn't it odd that the culture of this generation would rather cage pain and mourning only to mask it with anger.
