Muslim Preacher Arrested

Police have confirmed that they have arrested one Sheikh Abdullah Al-Faisal, a Muslim cleric of Jamaican descent. According to police spokesman Eric Kiraithe, the cleric has been detained as police establish why he is in Kenya. Several Kenyan Muslim leaders however say Al-Faisal is in the country to give talks on the Islam faith and was even scheduled to have a live talk show on one of the Islamic radio stations. Infotrak Poll: What Kenyans Want

Kenyans have crossed over to the New Year with high expectations that the two principals will deliver a new constitution and address unemployment. In a poll conducted by Infotrak majority of Kenyans have been disappointed by the government's performance on fighting graft, ending poverty and dealing with the insecurity menace it is not surprising therefore, that the government only scored a mean of 4.2 out of ten points. COTU's ultimatum
