Odd Bird Behavior
Today on my deck I observed an adult Dark-eyed Junco picking up the seed that I sprinkle out every day and feeding it to another adult bird of a different breed... possibly a Swainson's Thrush, I'm not 100% certain of the breed. I was only able to capture the last feeding, as I think the Junco was bothered by my presence when I came back out with the camera; but the feeding lasted for about five minutes. A Crazy Bird In My Apartment!
This bird flew in my front door while I was bringing in groceries today. Strangely enough, I had just bought a new camera, so I decided to try it out on this bird. A friend of mine identified it for me as a Dark-eyed Junco, which is a type of sparrow.
