Studying of mathematics and its machinery by students in K-12 competes with distractions of infinitely many layers. The 'X-rays' of formal algebra, which provide 'light' in making the invisible visible, is seen as a medicine and cannot easily compete in the modern world sometimes intoxicated by visual feasts projected at every turn.
