This is part 1 of a movie about an African American who fought as a paratrooper in the Normandy Invasion during World War II. The main character is in Fox Company as a part of the 101st Airborne. America lost some 6600 men during the Normandy invasion, including members of the 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion who died in the initial assault.

The men of the 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion landed on Omaha and Utah Beaches, in Normandy on D-Day and became the first black soldiers to see combat in the European theatre. Their mission was to prevent the Luftwaffe from strafing the invasion force by launching huge dirigibles.
