(about the third time actually flying - Allot of hover practice though), my thumbs started going a bit numb so i had to land fairly sharpish to heat up and carry on the rest of the flight. For all who don't believe, The Gyro is a G401B gyro ($15 from hobbyking) and its a solid holding gyro, a bit of temp drift but flicking between rate and HH soon sorted that! Unfortunately the camera battery ran out before i could perform a few flips... maybe next time.

Here's a test flight with a new 4200kv brushless inrunner motor from Hobby King, along with a 25A Electronic Speed Controller. I also installed a micro piezo-gyro, but hadn't bothered to trim it properly. I turned it on during the flight, but it caused the plane to pitch up a bit, so I just turned it off and played with the new power available in the Diablo. (Gyro testing is another video.) Modified with ailerons, brushless motor, 2.4 HobbyKing tx rx, larger wheels etc.... Check out the aileron rolls I didnt even take the curve out of the wing I only reinforced it with carbon fiber rods....

This is the maiden flight of Aerodrome R/C's 1:16 scale Fokker Eindecker. Wingspan is 24.75 inches, and all up flying weight is 3.6oz. The motor is a Hobby King 10g brushless with a 2S 350mah Lipo, Spektrum AR6300 receiver, and two 2.5g servos. The model has a full flying stabilator like the original. It's a great little model. It seems to be a bit tail heavy, but it still flew very well in the confines of the gym, and it will be even better with a tiny bit of weight in the nose. ... fokker ...
