Quick video made shortly after getting the Gibson

a '91 ES-165. I would say it is an Herb Ellis, but it does not say Herb Ellis anywhere on it and I am fairly sure it never did. This is the first year Gibson made these, so maybe the early ones did not have the Herb Ellis scrawled on the headstock. Anyhow the label just says ES-165 VSB - Basically a one-pickup ES-175. The bridge has been changed from the metal tune-o-matic style job to a rosewood. Strings- i believe at that point were the Tomastic Herb Ellis 13's. I have since switched ...

NS Guitar Workshop - Warwick bass transformation (Chris Rusty) Part 1

We transformed this Warwick bass: We refinished the body and applied Pyrography on it, we placed a maple flame veneer on the headstock, placed custom made abalone inlays on th fretboard, changed the bridge, replaced the pickups with new Harry Haussel pickups and installed a Glogengleng preamp.

A Farewell to Kings bass tone demonstration

another demonstration of my tone setup to show consistency. Sorry about the messed up beginning, Its been a while since Ive played this song, but it goes to show my little experience lol. Used a Fender Precision bass with a Maple neck and matching headstock, no other mods done to this bass besides a Leo Quan Badass II bridge. Goes through the same BE-5B Boss Multi Effects pedal run in stereo, direct to Creative Audigy break out box.

Picky Picky Picky by Jerry Reed

This a Jerry Reed tune I got from a Craig Dobbins book that Jerry recorded on a Telecaster in 1973 on the Lord, Mr Ford album. This was played on a 81 Tokai TST-56, a GREAT Fender copy of a 56 Strat minus the altered headstock to keep the lawyers happy This video is also another test of the Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video I just got. This was recorded at 720p and Youtube said it was going to take an hour and a half to download. Question! Is this typical with MOV files, or is it just my DSL server? ...

Goofing Around on a "Chili" Friday Night

I used a zip tie to attach a digital camera to the headstock of my guitar and recorded a bit of goofing around with my loop pedal. Playing a cheap Yamaha APX-500 through a Digitech Jamman pedal into a really cheap Peavey stage monitor. Ignore the Marshall in the back ground. It was either that be in the picture or dirty socks.
