We spent the day exploring the tidal pools and the ancient place of refuge (or pu'uhonua) - where up until the early 19th century, Hawaiians could find safety if they broke a law. Bill did some more snorkeling in a bay full of rough surf with the locals and Eilish found hermit crabs.
