Hi Eldorado fans, Just thought I would post this video of my recently acquired 83 Cadillac with the (GASP) infamous, HT 4100 4.1 V-8 motor! Over the past two - three weeks, I've read all of the horror stories about this motor and read just about everything on the web related to it. Perhaps this one too may go that way, perhaps not. as there aren't many around. 1981 models had a fuel injected version of this motor, with variable cylinder activation. That got a bad wrap, but was a decent engine (last of the big block Cads) with the V-8-6-4 disconnected. The underpowered HT4100 aluminum block motor followed in '82 which turned many buyers off Cadillacs forever. The 368 4BBL was installed in the "Z" code commercial chassis until 1984. Cadillac HT4100, full throttle runs, flowmaster 80 series
a few wide open throttle runs, not top speed, but 160km in 3rd, i just either hit a turn or ran out of road or had a car in front. This 4.1 isn't stock, stock much slower.
