Exdeath can't beat Zidane?

I've experimented, and unless I'm just majorly mistiming my omni guard, EXDEATH CANNOT GUARD FREE ENERGY. This gives the Zidane player a major advantage in a turtling match, as he can pester Exdeath with low but fast HP damage until he gets desparate. So long as Zidane stays close (don't want to be surprised by black hole or grand cross), there is nothing Exdeath can do when forced to attack.
