ソングライターへの転向を図る。 2000年12月6日に約2年ぶりとなるシングル『マフユノハナビ』、翌2001年1月には約3年ぶりとなるアルバム『クロゼット』をリリース。等身大のポップな歌へと音楽を一新する。これ以降は自作の曲を中心に歌うようになる。 2003年、東芝EMIとの契約を終了し、PRHYTHM（プリズム：レーベル、プロダクション、販売元・コロムビアミュージックエンタテインメント）に移籍する。同年9月にシングル『うたたね』、12月にアルバム『ブルーミーバルーン』を発売。 2006年3月3日、ギタリストの石崎光と入籍。
