A short Clip of a demo i did trying out my new Kokin Flute, which i got from Erik The Flute Maker. I've only been playing it for about 2 weeks or so, and am slowly getting the hang of it. The accompanying pics are of my discography and some promo shots. Learning to play both this flute & the Duduk have been very fulfilling experiences, and i'm looking forward to using them more in my music. I also plan to get more flutes in the future from Eric. . In this video i keep it simple and play starting on the B, and half hole the B to get a C Natural, then have to lift off and half hole the D to get the D# note. Once i'm over my flu and have caught up on practice i'll do a longer video about the maqam and things you can do with maqams. Thanks for watching. A live version of a song from my album "Silent Echoes". The version on the album is half improvised, so i felt inclined to improvise it live, and this is what came from it. Unfortunately the sound is from the camera, which didn't pick up all the cool modulating delayed effects properly... Performed at the AUC new campus as part of the official opening. ... Soloing over a very simple fusion loop i made, which modulates from A Dorian to F Dorian. I'm by no means a real fusion player, and still need to work on this side of my playing allot... GR3 Bogner preset, and the RK3 controller used to switch on the tape echo, and later on the tube screamer model. 8 minutes of boring guitar noodling. sorry! lol...
