Miriam LaVelle in Cover Girl - 1944 - She's the gal in the emerald green dress.

Ms LaVelle had a fleeting, uncredited appearance in this film - but she got to dance with Gene Kelly, albeit her routine pales agains her usual vibrant acrobatic showcase. Ms LaVelle looks more mature in this film than in Seven days ashore, where she looked sweet and girlish. They were both released in 1944, and, one assumes, were in production in similar time frames. Unless Seven days ashore was one of the RKO flicks Howard Hughes made and then sat on for several years.
