Regaining screen space on Ubuntu

The defaults in Gnome are quite big and chunky if you are running in lower resolutions. Here's some tips on regaining some of that valuable screen space. 1. Download a compact widgets theme from www.gnome-look.org. eg. Clearlooks-Compact, Human-Compact, or Compact-Metallico. 2. Change the font to a smaller size. 3.
