Canadian soldier killed by an IED in Afghanistan

Lt. Andrew Richard Nuttall was killed Dec. 23, 2009, during a foot patrol in an area southwest of Kandahar City. Nuttall is the 134th Canadian soldier to die in Afghanistan since the mission began in 2002. Lt. Nuttall died alongside a soldier from the Afghan National Army, said the Department of National Defense.
