The first 2 out of the 4 exercises for back are "mass building" movements, with the same idea as used for chest, we are not attempting to build muscle at this point but we don't want to lose too much either. The idea with movements like this is, what builds muscle keeps muscle. Keep your back nice and level throughout the movement to avoid injury. If you find you are sagging forward to complete the rep and are unable to maintain a straight back, go down in weight and perform it properly. You can acquire back injuries which can put you out of training for a long time!
