This video contains rare images of the first Baha'i temple, built in Ashkhabad, Russia, which no longer exists. It was part of a compound including schools, a hospital and a guest house. In the years following the Communist Revolution, sadly, nearly all Baha'is there were exiled or deported, the men to Siberia, and the women and children to Iran. Today Baha'is are still found in Ashkhabad, but the government does not formally recognize the Baha'i Faith.
